Après MIDI

I enjoy playing the piano as a way to let my mind wander—especially without a screen. It also turns out to be a pretty comforting activity if I’m suffering from a migraine. I realized one day that I could grab a MIDI-to-USB cable from the local music shop to connect my digital piano to my computer and easily record things into GarageBand. The result is often something like mediocre soundtrack music.

Here’s such a song that was inspired by a sunset—among other experiences—and the new sun that was to rise the next day.
