TekServe Recycling Drive

Tekserve—an Apple service and parts store in Manhattan—was doing a recycling drive today at their location by 23rd and 6th. It was a funny site of really old and recently antiquated machinery. Here are some photos of the event:

   
   

Update: there’s another recycling drive on Saturday, January 16th in Front of Tekserve, 119 West 23rd St. (near 6th Ave).

I think it's great that tekserve is doing e-waste recycling...but where does it go once they collect it??

Good question, they were doing it with the Lower East Side Ecology Center—who apparently run regular e-waste collections. According to their site they have a no-landfill policy, no outsourcing, and they sell off some of the valuable raw materials.
